MPH Portfolio Introduction

Welcome to my electronic portfolio! This e-folio was created to share with you my work as a Master of Public Health Student in the Department of Health Education at San Francisco State University (SFSU).
During my three years at SFSU (2005-2008), I was delighted to work in collaboration with diverse communities in the San Francisco Bay Area striving to achieve equality and social justice through improved health outcomes. My academic background and professional experiences have prepared me well for my future endeavors as a public health practitioner and researcher. However, my experiences and those of others around me growing up in Oakland, California sparked my passion to advocate for and with communities that are often oppressed and/or silenced. I look forward to a journey as a lifelong learner and educator.
